We have all felt the pressures of the rhythm of this life. Its fast paced, demanding and so we must make space for seasons of recovery and rest. Those seasons recharge us, heal us and even inspire us to create. We must value the slower seasons of life as we value the busy and productive ones.

JOURNALING
each morning take an inventory of your thoughts, feelings and their causes. Do so this summer, then go back and read what you wrote so that you can identify cause and effect patterns. Recognizing these patterns empower you to modify your life style.
GO OUTSIDE
turns out we are like a complicated plant, we need sunlight, fresh air and water to be in optimal mental health. Something as simple as walking through the grass barefoot can help you be mindful and centered. Sunlight can help regulate sleep, help with depression and improve your mood. This summer go outside, get into nature and discover new ways to mentally refresh.
HAVE FUN & TRY SOMETHING NEW
Fill your life with new & fun experiences. It gives your brain a dopamine hit ( the good chemicals). This summer go out and try something new and experience the mental boost.
DISCONNECT
summer is the perfect time to take small and scheduled breaks from electronics, social media, computers screens. Put them on do not disturb or on silence… make it a point to disconnect. It will boost your mental fortitude, May significantly reduce anxiety and depression.
MAKE CONNECTIONS
Social connection can lower anxiety and depression, help us regulate our emotions, lead to higher self-esteem and empathy, and actually improve our immune system.
